My name is Mélanie Anton.

I am French and Norwegian. I live in Stavanger, Norway. I am a psychologist, yoga therapist and psycho-tarologist. I feel enriched by my meetings with people. I am grateful for taking part in their journey. I am never so joyful than when we sweep away some dust and let the diamond of just being shine.

Becoming a psychologist took me long time. I graduated when I was 30 years old after a former education in political sciences and philosophy. But it took me some years and some life experience to discover that I felt most at ease when really connecting with others. In the context of a relationship, I was suddenly able to hold a safe space, to offer clarity and to envision healing paths. It became my life purpose, my job and my every second dedication.

I am a clinician educated within the psychodynamic tradition. I enriched my comprehension of human beings through long-lasting work with trauma. And I am still learning. I have lately specialized myself as a community psychologist. I have the conviction that all answers don’t lie within a single human being. I wanted to expand my practice to broader systems, networks, and patterns. I work in public mental health promoting good practices for the public and relevant training for the workers.

25 years ago, I started practicing yoga. I’ve never stopped since, and yoga became a way to keep me balanced and compassionate. The mat has often been a representation of the world and yoga a life guiding practice. I have built bridges between yoga and psychology and naturally became a yoga therapist. I am convinced, after all these years, that yoga is a life celebration.

Throughout the years, I also realized that, from time to time, I needed to let go of my own narrative to make “something else” appear and inspire me. Tarot made a deep impact on me and became my ally in this matter. The visuals have strength and depth and allow me to project myself in them. It also gives unusual insights and enriches reality perception. The possibility of projection and personal growth within tarot made it a natural tool I can offer for those who have the desire to use this practice. I’ve developed a psychological way of using tarot which aims at using imagination in new ways and opens to new ideas.
